Stepping Stones is a Christian education program that pull parents and
children back to the altar at seven key moments along the journey
of a child's life - a system that helps parents see the church as an ally
in Christian parenting. Faith Stepping Stones is a system that enables
parents to grow in the baptismal covenant with the child from baptismal to
high school graduation. The concept of Faith Stepping Stones as a series
of teaching opportunities and worship blessings was developed by Rich Melheim with Faith Inkubators.

1 Baptism -
Infant
Session
1 - Introductions, mutual joys & struggles, infant care &
development.
Session
2 - Challenges for the marriage & family, faith life as new parents,
modeling God?s love.
2 Entering
Sunday School - Age 2 & /3
Session
1 - Introductions, toddler development, mutual joys & struggles.
Session
2 - Faith life as parents, developing home faith habits, resources
available to them for
stories, prayer, etc., introduction to Sunday School program

First Bible - 4th Grade
3 Sessions ?
Early Fall (October) - parents & children together
Session 1 -
Introductions, telling stories, how the Bible came to be,
care & handling new Bibles.
Session
2 - Bible history, Old & New Testament book names,
understanding Bible references.
Session
3 - Importance of making the Word come alive, sharing favorite
Bible verses, finding important Bible stories.

1st Communion - 5th Grade *

Sessions - November - parents & children
Session 1 -
Introductions, brief overview of sessions,
questions about communion.
Session
2 - Meaning of Holy Communion, communion stories,
our faith & what communion means to us.
Session 3 -
?Mechanics? of taking communion, proper behavior
and summary what about Holy
Communion means to Lutherans.

Flexible Schedule
One Session - Offered as a forum, video, or
panel discussion on various topics.

One Session - parent & teen, focus on
letting go and preparation for college/military/ work
